‘Horse whisperer’ plunged knife into husband’s back, trial hears

A keen horsewoman put Viagra in her husband’s tea, chilli powder in his underpants and wiped her bottom with his ties before stabbing him in the back, a court heard.

Christine Rawle, 씨알리스정 70, would taunt husband Ian, 72, and carried out the pranks as ‘some kind of spite or joke’, jurors were told yesterday.

Rawle denies killing her husband of 29 years following a row at their isolated bungalow in Knowle, north Devon, in August 2022. 

The mother of three, who described herself on social media as ‘the horse-whisperer’, will claim she was the victim of a controlling and coercive relationship.

She will say she suffered for years at the hands of her ‘nasty and bullying’ husband.

The couple had a ‘dysfunctional’ relationship, with the prosecution likening them to the warring Roald Dahl characters The Twits, Exeter Crown Court has been told.
